How to edit website content and view your revisions


In this tutorial, we will cover how to edit content. Sometimes, you will notice that your content has information that needs to be updated. Or perhaps you created an Announcement with a typo in the body text. Also, at the end of this tutorial, we will discuss how you can view revisions (if they are enabled on your Luggage site).

This tutorial uses the pages content type as an example, but each content type will have similar instructions.

Content Cards

Content Cards are a compact, attractive way to present an image, link, and/or label. Once they've been set up, they're easy to edit.

Pages

How to create a page for your website


In this tutorial, you will learn about the page content type. The page content type is for any basic information, such as informative pieces, that do not fall into one of the other content types; announcement, event, news, people or resource.

Under the administration menu, select Content > Add Content > Page

The checkbox to publish and unpublish content is an option at the bottom of your options under the "Edit" tab.

Video Pages

In this tutorial, you will learn how to add video content to your Luggage website. The video content type essentially allows you to add a video to your site and still have the same fields as the page content type. The video will appear in the top of the page.

The most frequently-used functionality of the WYSIWYG toolbar is probably the basic text formatting options: bold, italic, and underline. These buttons are located in between the superscript button and the quote button:

Do you need to indent a section of your content, such as a block quote? Or do you have a list of items that you want offset from the rest of your text? The CK Editor allows you to perform both functions. This tutorial will walk you through both actions.

Step 1: Making a Quote


The quote button is located between the underline button and the bulleted list button. It is useful when you want to indent part of your text.

Two important CK Editor features are the link and unlink buttons. Though the CK Editor does allow you to link to a site by simply pasting a URL into the text box, the link button is useful for embedding links. Here is where the link and unlink buttons are located on the CK Editor toolbar:

The Bottom Bar

How to utilize the bottom bar


The last item in the CK Editor we will cover is the bottom bar. Though most of the utility in the text editor is in the top toolbar, the bottom bar does have some uses.

Let's start on the left side of the bottom bar. If you create a new page and look in the lower left hand of the body text editor, you will probably see a word and a letter, like in the example highlighted below:
